These three figures show how declination,
inclination and field strength varies around the world, based upon the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) for 2003. The images were generated
using data obtained from the NOAA National Data Center.
Obtain PDF maps depicting
each of the seven magnetic elements (D, I, H, X, Y, Z, and F) and for their secular variation (rate of change), based upon
the World Magnetic Model.
(D, I, H, X, Y, Z, and F) = (declination, inclination, horizontal intensity, x-component, x-component, x-component, and total intensity).
