In remembrance of Professor Emeritus W.R. (Ted) Danner (Feb 28,1924 - May 26,2012)

May 29, 2012

Ted had a long career at the University of British Columbia as a stratigrapher, and was known for his contributions to sedimentary geology more broadly, palaeontology, and the geology of B.C. and Northern Washington.Ted's passion for geology influenced several generations of UBC students. Indeed, he taught for many years after his retirement. He continues to support learning in the Earth Sciences through an undergraduate field school bursary that he established some years ago.
