html and Web Authoring - part 2

Learning Goals:   By the end of day 3, you should be able to
  1. Create and edit web pages by working directly with html tags.
  2. Create and use cascading style sheets (CSS) to unify the look of your web pages.
  3. Create forms in html that can accept and save user input.
  4. Utilize php scripts to act on the form data


Note: The work produced in this lab will build on the web page created in the previous lab. 
Method: We will enhance the web page for a mock business.

    Lab Demo:  See the Lab Demo and Homework Assignment 2, and follow along with George Hicks as he demonstrates the use of html tags and CSS. 

    Here is the ordering.php.zip script to use in your assignment (right click on the link to download it, i.e., to Save Link As, and then unzip it).  Or, download it as a text file ordering.php.txt , and then change the file name to remove the suffix .txt   .

    Reading Assignment:

    1. Finish reading the Course Material Pack, because the final exam will be based extensivly on these readings.

    Goal of Readings:  To broaden your understanding of scientific computing.
