Learning Goals:  By the end of this section, you should be able to: (1) use the Linux/Unix operating system, and (2) be comfortable using some key commands.  

Topics:  command line, file manipulation, running programs, text and programming environments and editors, pipes, I/O, remote access to computers, etc.  Unix/linux will be used as the operating system to access all remaining labs.
