This example illustrates inversions using a user-designed mesh, user-supplied error estimates and a generic model objective function. For this inversion we have used the same mesh as that for the forward modelling and supplied the correct error standard deviations. The inversion constructs a model that fits the observed data to the expected value. The essential features of the resistivity and chargeability model are all recovered. We can see clearly the overburden with different resistivities and chargeabilities. Both buried blocks are clearly recovered.
