Consider achieving the brand new ‘Certificate in Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences’, a unique opportunity for UBC undergraduate students to earn official recognition learning about our planet.
Pending approval by the UBC Board of Governors, the Certificate will be available for Undergraduate Students graduating in May 2026 and beyond.
Go to Certificate in Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences to learn more, then directly to the UBC Certificate website.
To complete the Certificate, students are required to take one course from each of 3 units (Geosphere, Atmosphere/Hydrosphere, and Biosphere) during their regular undergraduate program of study.
ATSC 313 is one of the Atmospheric Science component courses required for this Certificate designation.
Students from all undergraduate programs can apply BUT NOT those that are taking any degree administered by EOAS, the CMS Environment and Earth Sciences option, the BA in Environment and Sustainability and the BSc in Geographical Sciences.
Students completing the Certificate requirements would have official recognition written on their degree and other official UBC undergraduate documentation.
