Lecture notes are available in Microsoft Powerpoint (.ppt) files and in
Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files. The pdf files are more suited for printing on
a printer, while the ppt files are better for animated display on the
screen. (The Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that can be downloaded from
