Open to all UBC faculty members — let’s gather the Francophone research community !

If you are an Anglophone colleague interested in working with Francophone networks, or if you need support for writing proposals, budgets, or applications in French to access national and European programs, you are very welcome to join us! We’ll be celebrating the launch of a new service at UBC designed to help researchers write in French.

Program:

  • Cocktail and buffet
  • Remarks by Benoit-Antoine Bacon, President of UBC; Raphaël Dang, Consul General of France in Vancouver; Julie Fafard, Francophone Affairs Attaché, Western Canada for the Quebec government and Thierry Drapeau, ACFAS representative
  • Discussion and networking

Objectives:

  • Identify the needs of a growing research community
  • Support the development at UBC of an inclusive and sustainable network of knowledge in French and about the Francophone world
  • Increase the visibility of research conducted in French at UBC
  • Highlight the contribution of Western Canadian institutions to Francophone research
  • Celebrating the launch of a new service at UBC designed to help researchers write applications in French

Radio-Canada will cover the event live. Host Rudy Desjardins will conduct interviews in French with researchers who are interested in sharing their research.

If you would like to present your research, please let us know in advance, we may schedule some interviews before the start of the event.
