More information about the conference:

The conference is a joint effort by 3 Canadian partners (Geological Assoc. Canada, Mineralogical Assoc. Canada and Canadian Inst. Of Mining and Petroleum) and will play host to the annual GAC-MAC conference. The conference is the first of its kind – an ambitious effort to tie together our understanding of the Earth with the availability of resources for future generations – energy, minerals and water.  We are bringing professionals, academics, students and policy makers together to create meaningful conversations about the future. Furthermore, a critical component of the conference is providing a broad and comprehensive look at Earth history – the framework needed to understand how and why life developed and how the Earth sustains us today.
