3rd Virtual Geoscience Conference - Abstract Submission Open

We encourage you to present your latest virtual-geoscience-themed innovations, developments, applications, and case studies to the third the third Virtual Geoscience Conference (VGC 2018). The conference will be held at Queen’s University in the beautiful limestone city, Kingston, Ontario, Canada from Thursday August 23rd to Friday August 24th, 2018.

Abstract Submission and Registration are Now Available

Two-page extended abstracts of 300-500 words including up to two figures may be submitted up until March 15th, 2018. All abstracts must be submitted using the VGC online submission page.  Authors can choose from oral, poster, or interactive presentations. Interactive presentations give authors the opportunity to showcase software, datasets, and other immersive content on provided screens.

Take advantage of early bird registration rates up until March 1, 2018. All authors are encouraged to register at time of submission using the VGC registration page. Students with valid ID benefit from heavily discounted registration rates.

Short Course and Field Trip

We will be offering a short course on remote sensing applications to geohazards research and a local field trip exploring the local geology of the Kingston area on August 22nd, 2018. More details can be found on the VGC short course page. Participants can also register on the conference registration page.
