Undergraduate Certificate in Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences

Make Understanding Our Changing Earth Part of Your Degree and Future Career.

In this era of rapid environmental change, it is essential for University Graduates to understand the complex interactions among the major spheres that make up our planet—from the atmosphere to the core. Gaining insight into how Earth has evolved and continues to change, will influence many of the careers that UBC students choose to pursue, from politics to economics, from science to social studies and beyond.

To provide this foundation, the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS) has created this 9-credit Undergraduate Certificate. It may be be built into your degree studies with no extra credit requirements; however, check with your degree advisor for confirmation.

Join us in exploring the only home we have ever known!
