UBC Engineering team placed 1st at the Western Engineering Competition

Congratulations to Ivan Ma (GeoEng),Daniel Wheeler (GeoEng), Peter Li (Civil) and Owen Liu (Mechanical) for their victory at the 2016 Western Engineering Competition. The students placed 1st of 12 engineering teams in the Consulting Engineering division of the competition held on January 15th. Their presentation and technical report detailing a 100% renewable energy powered resort in Kelowna, BC won over the engineering consultants and Kelowna municipal officials on the panel of judges. Best of luck as they move onto the national Canadian Engineering Competition in early March hosted by McGill University!
