Academic Director, UBC Vantage College

UBC Vantage College is inviting applications from faculty members interesting in the position of Academic Director.

UBC Vantage College is a Senate-approved academic unit offering an enriched first-year experience for international students admitted to UBC Arts, Engineering, Management, and Science programs.

Those enrolled in “Vantage One” experience an innovative first-year curriculum that includes embedded academic English instruction. Over 11 months, students complete a full set of first-year credit courses for their respective degree programs. After successful completion, they transition into the second year of their chosen degree program at either the UBC Okanagan or UBC Vancouver campus.

The Academic Director is a vital role at UBC Vantage College. This individual provides academic leadership, planning and implementation oversight for the college’s “Vantage One” program. They are responsible for oversight of all curriculum development and renewal as well as the expansion of existing program streams and the potential development of new cohorts with a view to continuous improvements.

We invite you to attend the annual British Columbia Geological Survey Open House, featuring a day and a half of presentations highlighting the geology and mineral deposits of the province.
