I am currently investigating the relationship between a Neoproterozoic(?) nepheline syenite and a nearby REE- and HFSE-mineral bearing metasomatic aureole (AKA Bandito) located in SE Yukon. To investigate the petrogenesis of the two units, I will analyze rock samples from each unit using methods involving petrography, mineralogy, mineral chemistry, whole rock geochemistry, radiogenic isotope geochemistry, and geochronology.
