Speaker's Bio:

On Thursdays from January 13 to February 17, 2022, the EOAS Climate Emergency Committee is hosting a 6-week colloquium series exploring intersections between Earth and climate science and a society-spanning response to the climate crisis. The goals of this series are to (1) showcase the latest in climate science and climate solutions research, (2) highlight intersections between science and multidisciplinary aspects of the climate crisis and (3) discuss opportunities and roles for Earth Sciences (and scientists) in the broader context of a society-spanning response to the climate crisis.

In this second event in the series, we have invited 5 researchers from UBC, industry and government to present lightening talks on their research pertaining to various climate solutions.  The format will consist of 5 short talks by our panel members followed by a discussion with the panel and the audience.
