My research investigates alteration and structure in and around carbonate-hosted hydrothermal mineral deposits to improve exploration models and orebody knowledge for these deposit types. I mainly work on MDRU's Carbonate Footprints project, which is drawing on geological data from study areas in Mexico, Arizona, Greece, and Utah to address the following goals:

1. Develop an exploration model for alteration around carbonate-hosted hydrothermal systems

2. Develop methods and workflows for recognizing such alteration and train geologists in how to recognize and interpret alteration

3. Increase orebody knowledge and ability to interpret alteration patterns through an increased understanding of how fluids flow through carbonate rocks

4. Assess potential distal indicators of system fertility

I also like to dabble in data science problems and am currently working on ways to explore, visualize and share micro XRF data.
